"Becoming a member of KUWRFC has been one of the most rewarding and beneficial things that I have been able to do at Keele."

Becoming a member of KUWRFC has been one of the most rewarding and beneficial things that I have been able to do at Keele. Sadly, I never had the opportunity to play rugby back at home other than at school, so it was top of my list for university!

I joined the club in my 2nd year of study after focusing heavily on other sports in my 1st year. Right from the get go, you're made to feel included, to be a significant part of the squad and friend to all the girls. I had the opportunity to play both 9 and 10 for the starting XV last season, even having the chance to play at Varsity which was AMAZING! No matter your age or ability, you are accepted into the club and encouraged to play the highest possible standard that you can!

The girls that are part of the club make you feel so unbelievably welcome and want you to be part of their wonderfully bizarre little family. They encourage you to be the best that you can be and play to the best of your ability, through sheer determination and drive to succeed in every given opportunity!

I encourage ALL YOU LOVELY LADIES to come along to the freshers fair and take a look at Women's Rugby! Please, please also come along to our taster sessions running through your Freshers Week as you'll have the chance to meet all of the squad, our coach, and experience what rugby is really like at Keele. I cannot stress enough how the club welcome absolutely everyone, irrespective of skill level or ability, we have something for everyone here at KUWRFC!

Also do not stress about any sort of kit yet, come along in whatever you feel most comfortable in! Please don't be a stranger, come and pay us a visit or send us an email/contact us through our social media if you have any more questions.

Hope to be seeing you all soon XXX
